Tulika Books condoles the passing of Jun-ichi Okabe (1959–2021), Professor, Graduate School of International Social Sciences and Professor, Faculty of Economics, at Yokohama National University. Professor Okabe is co-author of A New Statistical Domain in India: An Enquiry into Village Panchayat Databases, published by Tulika Books in association with the Foundation for Agrarian Studies in 2017. The Japan Society of Economic Statistics presented its 2017 Award to Professor Okabe for this book.
